IT STARTED WITH COVID....
CORA owner, Celece Krieger started working in the travel industry at the age of 19. She owned a very successful travel agency and enjoyed curating custom vacations for her clients all over the world. In 2020, travel came to a stop with Covid 19. After 18 months of turmoil and hoping travel would resume, Celece decided to make a major change. She thought travel would be her life-long career, but Covid proved her wrong and it was devastating.
After almost 31 years in travel, Celece decided she still loved helping people and wanted to get back to work. That is when she stepped into retail. In 2021, June Pace knew there was a need for quality clothing brands not available in St. George. She opened Mina Boutique and Celece went to work for June. Her 20 hour work week eventually turned into managing, marketing, and buying. In the spring of 2024, June decided to retire and Celece purchased the boutique. Celece stated "Although I no longer plan vacations for my customers, I can help them pack for any trip around the world by curating quality travel wardrobe capsules. I still get to help women feel good about themselves, make new friends, and support our community. I enjoy traveling to fashion markets and sourcing upscale clothing and jewelry not available in our area. That is why I love working at the boutique and being part of our historic downtown business community"
At the end of 2024, Celece decided to make the boutique her own by changing the name and adding some new brands.
When it came to selecting the new name it was easy:
CORA, Celece's Maternal Grandmother.
Cora LeRae Beckstead Cundick was born in South Jordan, Utah in 1927. She married her school sweetheart Ned Cundick after he returned from serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. Life was not easy for this young married couple and money was tight. No matter how much money they had, Grandma Cora always looked immaculate. She was a successful beautician, club championship golfer, bowler, and was famous for her delicious pies. From her matching hats and golf skorts to her custom furs and beautiful jewelry, Grandma was the perfect example of timeless beauty. Even on the days when she was out driving a farm truck helping Grandpa in the fields during the harvest, Grandma looked fabulous with her beautiful scarf tied on her head and big sunglasses (think Jackie O Farm Fashion).
When you visit CORA Boutique, you will find upscale clothing, beautiful jewelry, and of course, the perfect golf outfit and matching hat.
Timeless, Classic, and Quality Styles - just like CORA.
"Fashion Changes, But Style Endures."
Coco Chanel may have said it, but Grandma Cora lived it.
